Thank you for your collective efforts to protect and preserve the Woodland Caribou, and for this opportunity to comment.
I am 100% in favor of critical habitat designation for the Woodland Caribou. I was a volunteer member of the Intermountain Caribou TC Team for many years - over 20 years ago, and I advocated for this even then, so many years ago. Critical habitat will likely be THE single most important step in preserving and safeguarding the Woodland Caribou. The winter range for the caribou, especially, needs designation and protection. Snowmobile use in the Idaho Selkirk winter range has continued to place unnecessary stress upon the small population. We, as Idahoans and Americans, both dependant upon and enriched by our wildlife and natural biodiversity, MUST all do our part to safeguard the future for the Woodland Caribou.
