The use of antibiotics in livestock feed for nonmedical reasons is one of the primary reasons for antimicrobial resistant bacteria. As a professional Infection Prevention Nurse in a hospital system I am very aware of the issue and I applaud you for recognizing this and taking action. However, the part I object to is that it has been left VOLUNTARY and has not been made MANDATORY.

I strongly urge you to reconsider and make these guidelines mandatory. The future health of humans is at stake.
