By this order, the Department is selecting: (a) Colgan Air, Inc. (Colgan Air), operating as US Airways Express, to provide subsidized essential air service (EAS) at Plattsburgh, New York, utilizing 34-seat Saab 340 aircraft, for a two-year term beginning when the carrier inaugurates full service, at an annual subsidy rate of $2,117,101; and (b) Hyannis Air Service, Inc., d/b/a Cape Air (Cape Air),to provide subsidized EAS at Saranac Lake/Lake Placid, New York, for a four-year term beginning March 1, 2010, with 9-seat Cessna 402s, at an annual subsidy rate of $1,366,538.
