Re: NHTSA-2001-8885; The new Xenon Hi Intensity lites are the best thing to happen in auto illumination in 25 yrs! I live in a part of the country w/ 9 mos of VERY dark & rainey gloom so being able to see is a MUST, not a frill. EVERY vehicle sold here should be REQUIRED to have these lites as STANDARD EQUIPMENT. Don't turn back the clock on technology. I heard the same complaints, 30 yrs ago, when some drivers adopted the 'Euro Halogen' lites imported by Hella/Cibie. 10 yrs later, new vehicles came standard w/ halogen lites. I find the Xenon lites to be far superior and very few other drivers 'flash' about them being too bright. It just takes some getting used to.
