I am opposed to a national patient identification card as it will surely infringe on personal privacy rights and could easily be misused. I am a believer in state's rights. I do not believe that a national set of operating rules and the bureacracy that it involves is manageable and cost effective. Such systems have not worked out well in other countries . This whole national health care idea is a bad one and should be reversed asap.
