The recommended changes regarding the wording and requirements for certified or
non-certified Cost or Pricing data should alleviate a substantial number of issues and confusion. I would like to recommend an additional consideration, as highlighted in yellow in the attached MS Word document. The differences between the apparent acceptability and non-acceptability of price lists, catalogs, etc as support for price analysis or price reasonableness assessments appears contradictory in the FAR sections. FAR Part 13.106-3(a)(2)(iii) appears to indicate the non-acceptability as a stand alone technique, whereas FAR Part 15.404-1(b)(iv) eludes to the acceptability of the technique.
