This new proposed rule should NOT go in effect!!! I am not a breeder, but have purchased dogs from several breeders over the years. I have bought three of them off site at a dog show or a meeting place, because the breeder’s home was too far away. Please do not take away my choices. Many dog buyers require or desire specific bloodlines or breeds that are not local. The only choice would be to buy from a distance. If we were all required to go to the breeders home for each purchase it would more than double the cost of each puppy. In this economy, we can ill afford even a higher price for our pets. Nor can the APHIS afford the extreme expensed to oversee all the extra breeders requiring to be licensed.
