Energy Conservation Standards for Residential Furnaces and Boilers

The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, establishes initial energy efficiency standard levels for most types of major residential appliances and generally requires DOE to undertake two subsequent rulemakings to determine whether the existing standard for a covered product should be amended. This is the initial review of the statutory standards for residential furnaces and boilers.
